Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Prepare the tangzhong paste: In a small saucepan, mix 100 ml of milk with 25 g of flour. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until a thick paste forms. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, the remaining milk, sugar, salt, fresh yeast, egg yolks, butter, and the tangzhong paste you prepared earlier.
  3. Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. Cover it with a dish towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  4. Once the dough has risen, divide it into equal portions and shape them into rolls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rest for another 15 minutes to rise again.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Brush the risen rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with white sesame seeds.
  6. Bake at 200 degrees for about 18 minutes, until golden brown. Once baked, set aside to cool.
